After a long break from the fair season, the joy was all the greater to finally be present at some fairs again with our biomass systems and heat pumps in the spirit of sustainability. We started this autumn and invited to our stand at the ÖKOBAU – “Herbstmesse” in Klagenfurt from September 15th to 19th. According to the motto “eco-friendly heating with the latest technology from HERZ”, presentations, information and new contacts were made.
On the occasion of the ÖKOBAU, a podcast was realized in which managing director Michael Lehner and area manager Mario Rinner revealed in advance how sustainability works and is even promoted.

Green light for the 23rd Austrian Biomass and Heating Plant-Operator Day
With this message, the organization of the participants on the 23rd Austrian Biomass and Heating Plant-Operator Day in Klagenfurt started for us. The program illustrated the current developments in energy policy and showed what contribution the biomass industry can make to building a crisis-resilient energy system based on domestic renewable resources. The heating plant-operator day offered a comprehensive update on developments in the local heating sector on the way to 100% renewable local and district heating. HERZ also presented itself with a booth and informed interested parties about the sustainable heating systems from the company.
Bienvenido en Valladolid
“Welcome to Valladolid” was the motto from September 21st to 23rd for Managing Director Michael Lehner and Export Manager Manuel Höller. Together with our Spanish partner company, the environmentally friendly energy systems from HERZ were presented at the Expobiomasa in Valladolid. 327 exhibiting companies from 15 countries – 7,000 trade visitors at an event that stimulates the activity of an industry that has not stopped growing in recent years.
District heating days in a spirit of optimism
The spirit of optimism is in the air at the district heating industry event, which will meet on September 23rd and 24th, 2021 in Pamhagen in Seewinkel, Burgenland. For the 16th time, the Fachverband Gas Wärme (FGW) was organizing the district heating days – the large information and working conference for the entire district heating industry. Never before have so many exhibitors and participants been counted as this year. The background to this is the latest resolution on the Renewable Expansion Law (EAG), which finally removes the backlog of district heating expansion. In the coming years, more than 150 projects, some of which have been waiting for implementation for ten years, are to be implemented. „This is a milestone in the energy transition,“ emphasizes DI Gerhard Fida, Vice Chairman of the Gas Heating Association and Managing Director of Wiener Netze.
Of course HERZ did not miss this event and as every year planning supervisor and area manager for large systems Alois Thurner was able to exchange ideas with district heating operators on site, make new contacts and present the HERZ Group together with HERZ Armaturen, Vienna and Binder Energietechnik. In addition, we are particularly pleased that the event location is supplied with cozy warmth of a HERZ system.
Mandatory dates for home builders
Next year we will be fully committed again when it’s called „Environmentally friendly heating with state-of-the-art technology“.
